Here's a Surplus Electronics web experiment. I heard that older pages are
being "punished" in the continuing war on bad sites. Sites like mine,
index sites with extensive collections of surplus companies, are
supposedly indistinguishable from all the asshat creeps with fake pages
trying to game the system. Traffic here on "supliers.html" suddenly
dropped; bright and early on January 2008. Other similar pages showed
identical change (pages like Electronics Hobbist and Tesla Coils.)
OK, the experiment Mar 23,2014. Since this page here has a hidden below
fold surplus links collection for those who prefer to scroll through
single vast pages ...I can delete this. Force everyone to click the
buttons at the top. No more scrolling down.
If the traffic suddenly leaps upwards by 10X, then the effect is
confirmed, and the old "Yahoo-style" sites are being punished, as
casualties in the war.
Right now surplus/surpls.html comes out #27, and supliers.html doesn't
appear at all ...which didn't used to be the case. Perhaps it's natural
attrition. Or perhaps it all changed in 2008.
Also I removed all the links in coilgen.html page, negion, and irgoggl.
